This week we take a look at 3 of our favorite supercars of the last few years from 3 of the worlds leading exotic car manufacturers - Ferrari, McLaren & Lamborghini. While the team at Exotic Rentals & Retreats agree that it's difficult to pinpoint a clear 'winner' as all three vehicles are simply outstanding, we will display the vehicles by order of merit after voting on the following points:
- Power
- Speed
- Looks
- Sound
- Handling
- Overall
Each outcome was ranked from 1-10 by 3 of us who were lucky enough to test these vehicles at a track day in Barcelona late last year, with 10 being the absolute best and 1 being - you guessed it - downright horrible. Remember 'supercars' differ to 'hypercars' which we will have a segment on in the not too distant future.
In 3rd place we have the McLaren 720S Spider - first released at the Geneva motor show in 2017 - the McLaren is simply a spectacular vehicle. Its super light chassis, coupled with spectacular dihedral doors and that wonderfully tuned 4.0-liter M840T twin-turbocharged engine make this vehicle one of the best exotic supercars we've driven and it only comes in third place because well - someone has to be there. Its not too bad to look at either, is it?

in 2nd place we have the monstrous Ferrari 812 Superfast. Ferrari weren't lying when they named this car - IT IS SUPER FAST. With 800HP under the bonnet the 812 comes in 2nd only because we felt the 1st place vehicle was superior in looks - but that is arguable and on any given day we're sure either the Ferrari or the McLaren could have ended up on top.
Also released at the Geneva motor show in 2017 the Ferrari 812 superfast is the successor to the ever popular F12 Berlinetta. The Ferrari 812 Superfast's 6.5-liter V12 engine is the most powerful naturally aspirated production car engine ever made... that's right. A naturally aspirated V12 front engined, rear wheel drive supercar!
Design and Styling
If you're looking for a light and compact vehicle that is good enough to get the adrenaline rushing through your veins with its not only its performance but its looks too. The Ferrari 812 Superfast is the sweat climax to all of your desperate auto desires. As the name indicates, the car is designed in such a way to exude matchless performance and super impressive speeds. Sportiness is one of the most striking elements in the making of this marvelous supercar. From a radical cabin designed to the compact volumes hugging the interior contours, the car is all about offering you a sporty feel even on the mundane race tracks.
Experience the zest of driving around the town or the suburban race tracks with the 812 superfast's Electric Power Steering (EPS). The addition of this electric steering is a great integration as it has stimulated the fusion of powerful engine performance with electronic vehicle dynamics to make up for an exhilarating driving experience.

Coming in 1st place this time around is the spectacular Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster. Just the name sounds tantalizing. The SVJ stands for Super Veloce Jota. Super Veloce means "super fast" in Italian. As the latest of the 3 supercars on review, the SVJ Roadster was unveiled at the 2019 Geneva motor show and is limited to only 800 units worldwide. Perhaps this is one of the reasons the Raging Bull was the overall winner according to our panel of judges. The sheer amount of detail that went into this transformer of a supercar is simply outstanding. From the sound of the engine when the ignition is engaged right down to the race-car feel the vehicle gives you when you take it out on the open road. The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster comes with a 6.5-Liter V12 Multi-Point Injection engine that is capable of producing 770HP.
